The Infinions
The Infinions are a quirky pop quintet teleporting tunes from another sector of the galaxy.
Pop music is alive and well in Ottawa and The Infinions are a new and vital part of that scene. Their music has the sophistication of classic tune-smiths like Jimmie Webb and Burt Bacharach tempered with a Devo-like sonic sense and a modern day Jetson's aesthetic . Farfisa organ, classic analog synthesizers, jangling guitars, loud bass, groovy drums and a sparkling female lead vocalist keep this music fresh, interesting and inviting.
Currently working on their first album for Rostfrei Records, the band has just finished pre-production and is in the studio working towards an early 2012 release. We have put an example of their pre-pro tracks on their music page and we have been promised a few instrumental numbers that will be entirely for download.
As the band is a new one, they haven't any stage experience in this present line-up, but as the members are culled from such Ottawa bands as The Peptides (voted Best Live Act In Ottawa in the 2011 Express magazine ratings issue) and The Synics, they have a whole lot of experience to draw upon.
