The Rebel Wheel

The Rebel Wheel was formed in 1995 and has changed their line-up more often than some change their undies!

Originally the band was a collection of Humber music students and their various musician friends. Out of their weekly jam sessions new bands were formed and existing bands augmented. The Barbara Lynch Band, Crazy In The City, The Family Jewels, Circus From Hell and of course The Rebel Wheel, all shared players and it wasn't uncommon for them to switch roles or fill-in for each other whenever time and circumstances demanded.

Eventually leader and main writer David Campbell moved to Ottawa and after several false starts, got a working band together again. Since 1999 they have played hundreds of gigs and most of the higher profile Prog festivals locally and abroad.

Signed to 10T Records in 2007, the band has released two albums, the crictically lauded "Diagramma", and "We Are In The Time of Evil Clocks". Both albums have been well received and the band has become rather well-known in the admittedly small circle of international prog fans.

They have returned to Rostfrei Records to release their upcoming album "Whore's Breakfast" which features a "jazzier, shreddier" and less vocal version of the band. Due out in early 2012, the band is currently rehearsing and will be in the studio in the late winter of 2011.

The current line-up, which debuted at this year's Prog-Day festival in North Carolina is:

David Campbell: guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals

Aaron Clark: drums and percussion

Guy LeBlanc: keyboards, recorders and vocals

Andrew Burns: bass and vocals
